A Moment of Satisfaction for a Job Well Done

Well, we made it. Almost 24 minutes ago we launched the new Mathews Inc. website. Mathews makes the world’s most renowned bows. The biggest offering on the new site? A new bow release that has been kept under tight wraps for months.
The site was actually swamped by visitors when we made the switch. We had to roll the box over to reclaim it from the crazed enthusiasts who were so eager to get a glimpse of their new eye candy. It was quite humorous to read the posts that were actively being updated in the forums. People get crazy about this sort of thing. I had no idea until I started working on this project.
I’m proud of the work we here at SGS put into it. There are still some big parts of the site that aren’t completely finished (Online Apparel for example), but overall, the site is in its full. Maybe in another post, I’ll critique the design myself. I like to think I’m my own toughest critic anyway.
What did this project cost me? Quite a bit of sleep this week. This whole week brought me back to finals week in college: too much work and too little time.
