WordPress Upgrade

WordPress 2.0.3 – that’s the version of WordPress that I just upgraded to. I had been running a version 1.5 derivative and had been concerned about how difficult it might be to upgrade as I have really customized the system to my liking.

Guess what I found out? It was a piece of cake to upgrade! All said and done it took me less than 30 minutes! A good chunk of that time was spent figuring out how to do a really nifty tar backup of the entire site and reading the upgrade documentation. I think the actual process (including debugging one WP system file I had customized) took about 15 minutes. That’s impressive to say the least.

I’d like to give a quick hat-tip to the team who spends their days managing and developing WP-great job!
