My Bud Dan Ostebo is in Mainstay!!!

So last week I get a text message from my old best friend, Dan Ostebo. All the message says is something like “Support your local starving artist. Go pick up our new album at Best Buy.” Keep in mind, I haven’t talked to Dan for more than 5 minutes over the phone in the last two or three years. We’ve just grown our separate ways. He’s been busy with his music and I’ve been busy with my schooling a new business and a new job. I knew he was working on some neat stuff with this band, I just had no idea how “big” it really was…

My Best-est bud of all growing up is the bass guitarist for a little band named Mainstay. I’m sure some of you out there have heard of this little band, but did you know their latest album just went main stream. I’m supposed to go get this thing at Best Buy. I’m supposed to go and buy it just like any other super-famous, well-know, we-love-your-band-because-your-tunes-are-the-coolest, album in the world. And I am SO pumped to do just that. I can’t believe it my best bud Daniel Ryan Ostebo is Rock Star famous!!!

Congratulations Dan, you made it to the big leagues! I remember when you first picked up a bass and started plucking away. I pray the Lord will continue to bless your band as you follow His direction in life. And never forget the incredible concert at my little backyard birthday party just shy of ten years ago!
