Retiring an Old Friend

Monday marks the end of an eleven year love affair. My truck, brought home by my parents brand new in 1994, will be retired as a trade-in for a newer model with less than a quarter of the miles and ten times the options and goodies. She’s been an amazing friend for all these years and every single one of her 200,385 miles. She’s brought me and my family safely from La Crosse to the Cities and back again more times than I’ll ever be able to count and in every driving condition known to man. We’ve had our hard times and many, many great times. Although she won’t be there every morning to bring me safely to work and back any longer, se will never be replaced and most certainly never forgotten.
