Not Quite Home, but Almost

Just got back from skating the St. Paul Inline Marathon. What a blast. I’m exhausted and halfway proud of my time. I hope in the future to do better, but training is a must! Unfortunately, one of the people in our group took a pretty serious fall and broke his Pelvis. Offer up a little prayer for Katie Ox’s uncle!

It was nice to be in the Cities again this weekend. I got to see my folks for a while on Saturday and spend time with friends on Sunday before and after the marathon. I’ll be up there again Next weekend for the Great Minnesota Get Together. If you have any chance at all, do check it out. Probably on my list of all-time favorite annual events.

Sometimes it’s almost harder to leave the Cities again after I’ve been up there for a few days. Deep down inside I think my heart is still really there. I’m pretty sure I try to hide it by staying away for as long as I can. That probably hurts my family more than it helps my “feelings” but what can a guy do? I just pray that someday the Lord will bring me back there. All in his time I guess.
